When and why did you start your business?
After two years as a part-time freelance company, The Fae Group Graphic Design Company launched its full-time presence in April 2007. The Fae Group was initiated to provide affordable and creative graphic design services based on personal customer service in a world where it is too often overlooked.

Please provide a brief overview of your company.
The Fae Group specializes in print graphic design and the creation of marketing materials and identity sets for clients nationwide. Our mission is to offer affordable, individualized, professional graphic design services for small business owners paired with unmatchable customer support. Through a personalized approach, the client is able to enjoy true customer service.
Typical projects include custom graphic design, logo design, business cards, ads, flyers, brochures, letterhead/envelopes, web banners/graphics and other graphic design projects. The Fae Group services clients nationwide and is currently accepting new clients.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I recall sitting in a small dark cubicle bored with my work, the creative limitations and not being excited to get up for work each day. Now, I awake energized , glance at the beautiful ocean water, and begin my day doing something I truly love! The fulfillment that comes along with establishing and operating a profitable, professional company at the age of 25 is something I only every dreamed of.

To work with powerful and motivated small business owners and assist them with getting their companies off the ground, while continuing to market their specialty, is something I am extremely proud of. Learning how to balance a healthy lifestyle and successfully run a small business takes great discipline and determination, but has taught me more than many learn in a lifetime. The feeling when I fall asleep each evening, knowing I am personally and professionally fulfilled and using my talents to help others, is the accomplishment that I am most proud of.

What advice could you offer women looking to get into business for themselves?
Contact The Fae Group for all of your graphic design needs! On a more serious note, starting your own business takes a tremendous amount of work and includes many stresses. Realize that women enjoy helping other women. Organizations such as Women That Win, and my other female mentors, have helped me grow my business to its current level and continue to educate me each day. These women are instrumental in my career and I recommend becoming involved with Women That Win, other female small business owners and professional coaches.
